We pull the door down section by section, support it, and swap the full roller set while we're in there - checking each bracket and hinge for play, since a loose bracket will wear a brand-new roller just as fast as it wore the old one. We true up the track if it's out of alignment, which it often is after years of rollers riding slightly crooked.
We test the door through a dozen full cycles before we call it done, listening for any return of the noise. If the door still binds after that, the problem isn't the rollers - it's something in the opener or the spring tension, and we'll say so rather than keep swapping parts.
